When can I buy the kindle 2.0?

The kindle is a E – reader made buy amazon. I was going to by the first one, but now I am hearing about this one.

According to the article cited below, 2.0 won’t be released until sometime next year. There’s nothing on Amazon.com regarding a release date for the new version, that I could find at least.
